Professional Geologist
Mr. Meier is a trained geologist with a background in hydrogeology and geochemistry and over 10 years of experience in the environmental and petroleum industries. He holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Geology from Arkansas Tech University and Oklahoma State University, respectively. He is an FAA-Certified Commercial Drone Pilot and a registered Professional Geologist in seven (7) states.
Mr. Meier regularly serves as project manager and provides technical leadership in support of collaborative projects concerning environmental site assessment, subsurface investigations, hydrogeological testing, regulatory compliance/permitting, and expert litigation support. His environmental site characterization experience encompasses surface and subsurface investigations throughout the United States. He has led efforts and collaborated on over 40 Phase I, II, and III environmental site assessments which encompassed well installation and groundwater monitoring, soil gas and vapor intrusion investigations, and development of conceptual site models. Mr. Meier has worked diligently to mediate between clients and state/federal agencies to resolve permitting issues and to complete site remediation/reclamation. He regularly employs his expertise to provide diverse clients with geologic consultation for specific litigation challenges and has prepared multiple expert witness reports and technical defenses against alleged environmental impacts.
