ALL Consulting (ALL), in cooperation with the Ground Water Protection Council (GWPC) announce an online Webinar Series instructed by Dan Arthur, P.E., SPEC, CPG, FGS, QMS; Tom Tomastik, CPG; and other experts from ALL.
The Webinar Series reviewed a general regulatory and technical history of the Underground Injection Control (UIC) Program with a focus on Class II Injection Wells and the evolutions of both federal and state regulatory programs, guidance, program implementation, and various technical aspects and events that have led to the ongoing evolution of this critical program. The goal of the program is to provide details of how the Program was started, various changes, and both technical & regulatory insights. The series will review details such as:
- Creation of the program,
- The mid-course correction effort,
- Class II UIC Primacy (variations among states),
- Area of Review (AOR) & Zone of Endangering Influence
- Underground Sources of Drinking Water,
- Aquifer Exemptions (local and regional),
- Part I and II Mechanical Integrity (including testing method development),
- Maximum Allowable Operating Parameters and Step Rate Testing,
- Induced Seismicity and Seismic Monitoring Considerations,
- National Workgroups & The Robert S. Kerr Environmental Lab,

In this introductory start of the Webinar Series, a general history of the program will be presented and various major components, drilling & completion practices/variations, permitting & regulatory requirements, various types of well testing, operational considerations, monitoring & reporting, risk management, injection induced seismicity, fluid migration, and well closure.
